I ended up using a wire splice connector.
Look at my post, 31st on this thread. I used the longest blades and pushed then WAY inCan anyone tell me which blendmount taps to use. I’ll be darned but I can’t get any of them inserted.
Are you saying the tap point isn’t in the panel closest to the windshield but somehow I have to also remove the sunglass holder?Look at my post, 31st on this thread. I used the longest blades and pushed then WAY in
I'm sure there may be one in there, but this looked closest/easiest.Are you saying the tap point isn’t in the panel closest to the windshield but somehow I have to also remove the sunglass holder?
Use the other side of the plug, there is more space. I used some old ones that I had laying around, the one side of the plug was way to tight, but the other side worked well. Can anyone tell me which blendmount taps to use. I’ll be darned but I can’t get any of them inserted.
Huge huge help here!! It workedUse the other side of the plug, there is more space. I used some old ones that I had laying around, the one side of the plug was way to tight, but the other side worked well.
I just use the button of the detector myself, no remote button for me. It’s not a far reach. When hardwiring, what are you doing for mute buttons?
Did you pull the A-pillar off or just go down the molding. Thanks for the idea of where to put he mute button.
See post #47 above. I did the same thing with my Uniden (but with the button in the console so I don't hit it with my knee, etc.). Escort and Uniden, among others I'm sure, sell a hardwire kit with a built-in mute button. When hardwiring, what are you doing for mute buttons?
this is what I did. But instead of splicing into the fuse box I ran the wire through the firewall (rubber grommets) and wired it into AUX 6 since this was a much smaller gauge wire than 1-4. Now I can turn the radar detector on and off easily. Basically, its a mute button that stays muted until I want it back on.
I did the same but just used a fuse tap for the interior fuse panel. No need to remove the A-pillar. Wire will tuck behind.this is what I did. I tried the power tap for the mirror. It wont hold power for both the mirror and the detector... AND what ever you do, dont pull the mirror off the mount... OMG its a pain to get back on.I used this plug & play harness from Gen5DIY for my '19 Challenger Hellcat. It is the same part number for the RAM. Can anyone confirm if the plug is the same for the LCD camera mirror with the technology package?
