I hardwired my V1 using the Mirror Tap.
the diagram above is correct. Pink is power and black is ground.

I used this plug & play harness from Gen5DIY for my '19 Challenger Hellcat. It is the same part number for the RAM. Can anyone confirm if the plug is the same for the LCD camera mirror with the technology package?

Hey All,
I just put my blendmount and my mirrortap on. I got the 15" cable, I'd recommend the 20" length as I would have liked to dress it up more against the rearview with zip ties.
It's easy to do. The pics here of those two bolts under the sunglass holder are it. You do need to squeeze both sides of the sunglass holder to get the plastic pins out. I didn't take a pic of the two metal spring assemblies, but wish I had. If someone could take a picture of theirs open if appreciate it, just so I know I have them right.
The pink wire is hot (when ACC or in Run) and then use the black wire on the same connector. I appreciated that the kit came with different pin sizes as my old setup had blades that were too wide and I had to file them down.
I used the longest blades and had to push them way in there to get it where I was comfortable. At first I had them engaged, but it intermittently worked (test real time before putting back together). So longest blades and push down as far as they will go. I put some electrical tape on the wire harness for good measure. Pic quality isn't great as I was facing the garage door and it is bright out.

I did mine today as well. It would've been really easy, but for the fact that I ordered the shorter tap, and had to solder/shrinkwrap/extend it. Def recommend the longer tap wire. works flawlessly now. Comes on when truck starts and goes off when it stops.

I couldn’t get the taps to make consistent contact so I used an inline tap to connect directly to the pink and black wires. Worked great.
I could use a pic of the little springs that are on the sunglass cubby too. I’m pretty sure I got them on wrong.

Thanks @Jester, must have missed your msg. couple of weeks ago, thats really helpful. Will I be able to use a mirror tap cable & mount my detector on the visor you think? Will it reach w/ 20”, probably not?
Sold my V1 on ebay last week. Bought it new originally for $399 in 2016 & sold for $325 which is pretty crazy. 2nd time I’ve done that with a V1 to upgrade, they really hold their value. Bought the 2nd generation V1 ($499) its on backorder but hope to get it in April.
Spotted this today, pretty interesting:

Thanks all for your experience. I got the blendmount installed with my Beltronics radar detector this weekend. Based on another thread from the 5th Gen Ram forum I tapped switched power from behind the mirror. Made my own mirror tap wire and it all works perfect. Here’s a few pics:
