Anyone else have this noise coming from the engine compartment?

Hello all, for the past month or so, I have an intermittent sound coming from the engine bay. As I said, it is intermittent and isn't always present. You can really hear it best right after the engine is turned off so I have posted a video of that. It sounds like a pulley to me, but I wanted to post here before sending to the dealer as I would rather fix it myself. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Sorry to bump the thread, but here’s a quick video underneath the hood if anyone can help. Perhaps it is the clutch in the supercharger pulley?
I may try and find a stethoscope later today. Thanks.

I would be at the dealer or mechanic shop if I heard noises like that.

Supercharger clutch sounds like a good guess. I would go the stethoscope route or just pull the blower belt and see if it goes away.

Thanks man. I got a hold of a stethoscope but the intermittent noise is gone for now. It’ll be back.

Wow that is a weird one, but the only 2 clutched pulleys on the front of that motor would be the alternator and the supercharger. I would assume one of those clutched pulleys is failed and making noise when the belt stops and the accessory continues to spin down.

Ditto. I am headed in tomorrow morning as well. It has progresively gotten louder over the last month or so.

I’m taking mine in early next week. I got a stethoscope and pinpointed the sound just behind thE supercharger pulley in the snout. Let us know any findings and what the diagnosis for yours may be. thanks!

FYI - They looked at mine this morning and it is a failing water pump so not pulley related. It is on backorder.....

Glad it's something simple, hopefully they can get you one quickly. My dealer said it would be 3 days before they even look at mine

Dealer just called mine was the water pump as well, only 26K miles on mine

28K on mine. They found a water pump (with Ram Cares help!) and should in Wednesday. Did they have one in stock for you ?

My water pump went to shit too.
Noise sounded a bit different.
Stupid question but the noise starts as the truck heats up I assume? I ended up with two noises, pump and a pulley
