This question is for those who have taken delivery. I am aware of all the mechanical issues being posted but are any of you disappointed with the exterior quality and finish? I am really curious if Ram has finally addressed the waviness or slight creases around the door handles. I have owned many Rams and this has been an issue for many years. It’s almost like the handles are being over tightened to pinch the metal. Its most notable when looking down the sides of the truck. Fords have the same issue maybe even worse. It used to bug the crap out of me but I have learned to live with the flaws because everyone is in the same boat. Too bad these manufacturers can’t step up and produce a better product with today’s technology. I look forward to your feedback.

I'll have to look at mine when I get it

My white Trx was painted on a Friday. The black metallic 2 tone is terrible. Wish it was just all white. Literally a $200 macco job that they charge.

My ‘22 Ignition Edition, delivered 12/21 , is perfect. Not a single issue or noted flaw.

My Sandblast Edition had multiple paint drip marks on it :( But not worth getting it fixed..

My Crystal Granite had the lower section of one of the doors with paint that was so thinly sprayed, you could almost see the primer underneath. It's getting Stealth PPF, so it isn't going to matter...but still no good.

I have a '22 Ignition, not too many issues with the paint, but it is thin and i do have some chips, my dealer also must have had a terrible detailer b/c it was all swirled up. No biggie tho can paint correct and wrap it.

Just the typical gas cap discoloration previously discussed on a different thread. No other issues so far...

Though, my cell phone accidentally fell out of my pocket as I was getting out of the truck and it made a dent in the driver side door jamb. I knew the metal was thin... but not that thin...

On my Billet Silver TRX the driver side bedside is uneven, so it has a slight slight zebra like pattern. I have a paint drip on the passenger side near the rear of the bed. None of this is that noticeable but if you are a detailer or anal you will see them. I decided I didn't want to have my new truck sprayed, so I am going to keep it as is.

I'm not even going to check the handles comment. The last thing I need is another thing to trigger my OCD and eventually get me to sell the truck. 😁

Currently have some tiny unexpected rock chips on my white paint at 11k miles over 5 months. However, grading paint jobs isn't my forte and I only typically notice the very obvious

Yep, when I was ceramic coating my truck I noticed a bunch of fuck ups in the tape line between the white and black. Its like they didn't give a fuck and used shitty tape. I have a dealer visit coming soon to replace the missing lights in my doors (driver door missing the lower LED strip and both rear doors missing the middle LED), I am going to say something to them about the paint line but I highly doubt they will do anything. I wont let them re-paint it, so I just have to live with it.

I took delivery on my Diamond Black TRX today. I went over it with a magnifying glass. No issues at all… it seems like the folks with the two tone colors had the issues.

My billet silver truck was almost entirely repainted. Entire bed, both driver doors, one passenger door, then hood and front driver fender (They damaged the fender trying to get the hood to align.) Looks way better now the company they use for warranty work locally does the same processes as the factory.

What dealer in Colorado told you those lies? Your username makes me think somewhere in NoCO with the 970... The factory paints with automatic robotic painting arms. A repaint will never be remotely what was originally applied. I'm glad it sounds like it turned out well though, hopefully they gave you a substantial financial concession though

The black lower on mine has little like pieces of sand below it in areas that were painted over or theyre bubbles idk, I dont really care, I had it wrapped in PPF and you cant see them now. Theres definitely some pretty noticeable orange peel going on too
