My 2022 trx with 25k miles is leaking anti freeze , so I went into the dealership to get warranty work done but the dealership i originally bought it from wasn’t a Ram dealer it was a gmc dealer , so they sent me to a ram dealership so I pulled up and the service tech searched up my vin number for the warranty work and it turns out my trx was manufactured in Canada the dealership never told me the truck wouldn’t have warranty , they told me I had factory warranty so I didn’t say anything so turns out the warranty don’t even work here in the US , anyone recommend anything I should try or do I take the loss and pay out of pocket ?

Check where the plastic is attached to the aluminum on your radiator. That's a common place for leaks. Your Ram dealer is correct. A Canadian truck will not have a warranty if it's brought down to the US. Hopefully it's just the radiator because they are pretty cheap.

Understand this doesn’t help you now…. But thoroughly reading the carfax report is crucial. You see a bunch of random lemon/imports going for much cheaper. Even ask for a carfax when buying a new car. I got burned a few years back on a Bullitt, accident on the lot when it had single digit miles, I never even thought to ask and it was diminished value when I sold.

Thank you for letting me know this.

I fear mine is leaking too. Haven't seen any puddles or drops, but have a slight coolant smell after I drive last couple weeks now... 22 with 15k miles. Is that the driver or passenger side radiator in your pic?

Drivers side

Could it be this?
Yep, mine did the same thing (looked the same) on the top of the radiator on the passenger side. I ordered a new OEM radiator since I didn't want the dealership to f**k with my truck on something as minor as this. While waiting on the new radiator to come in, I used a half bottle (~4 oz's) of K-Seal. That was 3 or 4 months ago and no signs of any leaks since. Now, I've got the new radiator sitting in my shop just waiting, in case it's even needed.

My 23 with 25k miles has always had a slightly coolanty smell after shutdown. I have monitored coolant since new and it hasn't moved an inch, I think it's just the way these engines smell. Either way I've had no issues so far.

I had it happen too around 30k. Passenger side of Radiator. No puddles just the smell and the level going down. I'm lucky it was still under 3/36k warranty. Next time (cheep radiators) I'll replace it myself. Maybe an aftermarket one will come out that's just bolt it on with no mods to install it.

Seems to be very common including the location. Is it due to heat or pressure or structural weakness?

Not sure but plastic against metal with pressure probably not the best. IMO it's designed obsolesces so they can sell more. With as many of them that have this issue they should come out with a better replacement one that will last. If not it's aftermarket for me next time since I'll have to pay out of pocket.

You may be right about planned obsolecence. Might pay to have a custom all metal one fabricated and store it.

This one looks good but no price but look like it will last the life of the truck. Probably needs mods to fit.

Here's one that needs a little mods to fit.

25k miles on my 2022 and the radiator needs replacement... of course they had to make some money and charged me an hour of labor to take off/reinstall my aftermarket AFI intake system. Absolute bullshit... still LOVE this beast of truck.
