Big thank in advance here guys.
Ive watched more you tube videos than I can count I feel like they don't do justice to the real sounds.

Short Question:
I want my TRX to sound more mean like my Esc V. I have had corsa exhaust before on older model Esc that I had, So I am leaning that way for the TRX I could really use some educated opinions here or some help narrowing down a top two choices.

I may do headers down the road, but not now. If that factors into anything for the choice now.

Thanks Yall,

Corsa HQ is very close to me. Great people and company. Have a friend with the Corsa Extreme on his TRX. Sounds amazing. Really wakes up at WOT but not obnoxious when regularly cruising around. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks a lot for the reply my dude ! I appreciate that.

I went the cheap route with SLP Loudmouths that replaced the (2) factory resonators. Had them welded in place by a small exhaust shop and love the sound, circa $200 expenditure. I'd love to experience a full system but for the $ worked at the time... and still pisses off some neighbors when I (ahem) park it against our garage door and cold start.

  • Exhaust Parts mod: $150
  • Install $50
  • Annoying neighbors: $200 , nah...PRICELESS! 🦖 🔥

Electric cutouts will sound the best, meanest you can possibly get on a Hellcat. Basically straight piped but better because you can revert back to stock and not piss off your neighborhood at 5am.
I had replaced my exhaust prior to cutouts and they mostly sound OKish for STOCK comparisson but to sound true to what you might want it's either straight piped or cutouts.

Only issue is if you do lots of offroading that can become an issue with debris/mud encrusting on the cutouts doors. I don't touch dirt so no issues ever .

My next door neighbor had an Escalade V. The sound is VERY awesome and very different from a HC. I prefer our engine noise though and he used to often complement my cold starts so I guess he agreed with me.

Why are people so worried about pissing off neighbors? lol. Cutouts are just another electrical failure point…..

I like the exhaust tone/sound stock but I just want it LOUDER. Doesn’t feel that loud to me, especially in open air idling. Or feels restricted. Would SLP loudmouths be the solution to overall loudness?

Truck sounds great stock driving or WOT.

I’m always up for a good exhaust discussion.

This is the best explanation/comparisons I’ve seen of exhaust systems. @RedEyeTRX and don’t see abtrx anymore. I went borla atak…really cracks!

There's always those who don't give a shit about others around them. Not my case if you referred to my post.

Exhaust is probably 2nd to IGLA in overly discussed topics around here. All I can say for those that don't know or ever driven a TRX with cutouts is do it first then post about how it sounds vs everything else out there. It's not even close. How that engine sounds is beyond not only loudness but mainly brings out every raw tone of that V8. You are complemented by others in traffic.
I'm sure many won't like it but if you can give a shit about neighbors, others on the road aren't basically there for you anyways.

Yes it is another electrical failure point. That's the risk but to be honest I've had mine for over 3 years and never skipped a beat. Again to be fair no offroading.

I personally think stock is basically nonexistent at most of the driving-plain boring as shit.
Possibly the lowest supercharger sounding and exhaust of any hellcat vehicles is the stock TRX

do any of the options out there have that backfire / pop / gurgle when you let off the accelerator ?

Can’t go wrong with Corsa. I currently have it but after hearing @JPV96 cut outs I have to say it sounds way louder and better especially idle. Not sure about driving down the highway. I assume it’ll be crazy loud.

I went with the Borla Atak and I’ve been really happy with it. Honestly, I chose it mostly because my local shop had it in stock, so it was the most convenient option at the time.

Pros:
-Every startup sounds like a cold start—very aggressive.
-The exhaust note is deep and animalistic.
-Minimal drone
-The total cost was around $1,500 installed.

Cons:
-It can sound a bit raspy at times.
-It tends to overpower most of the supercharger whine.

I’ve also heard the Escalade V in person, and it sounds fantastic. However, if you’re specifically looking for lots of crackles and pops, you might be a little disappointed. From what I understand, that effect usually comes from engine mapping/tuning rather than just the exhaust system.

In the end, any aftermarket system is a noticeable upgrade over stock—you really can’t go wrong with any of the options.

Mine has exhaust cutouts in place of mufflers. When they are closed, it's basically straight piped and it seems "quiet". I leave them open all the time and it's hard to hear the supercharger. When you stand on the skinny pedal to pass someone, they swerve away from you as you pass because it's shockingly loud. Babies cry. Birds scatter. It's glorious.

I put Borla tips on mine recently after running the Atak with the OEM tips for awhile. I saw others mention on here that it improved the sound and I definitely agree. I noticed the difference immediately. The tone is definitely deeper and it really cleaned up the sound. Most of the raspiness is gone.

Interesting, this is the first I've heard this. any before and after videos?

Which ones?

Borla seemed to really put some cool engineering into their Atak so I’m not surprised that the tips even have an effect

My neighbors don’t give a fuck, maybe made me cynical lol. But you’re making me want to look into cutouts if it really brings out the true sound and louder. Which ones do you run? I just always quickly thought they were too unnecessarily complicated for an exhaust.

too be honest nothing will come close to the V ! I'm trying lol jealous !! very nice
I have a Gt Haus valved exhaust cat back waiting on my high flow cats for this reason hopefully get more noise not loudness but what your looking for pops crackles and bangs

so with good gas 91 /93 fresh fuel on up shift manual I can get her to pop loud most of the time down shifts never ... and cruising with light throttle and let off you will get a light pops barley hear it but its there ...nothing like the V where it just pops on let off lol anytime lol im trying
Hopefully with the high flow cats TI and my Ti exhaust I can do it stock headers ....

Gt haus makes a GT2 SERIES the smaller of the muffler or resonator whatever people can it now should be the loudest there offer I don't have this one

I have the vacuumed controlled for quietness and loudness future was going headers and high flow cats I am not in a free state lol

This is such a great thread. A yet now i am back my starting my place. lolololol. I cant have the family car sounding better than the trx. haha.
I need those pops.
