Triple B is working on having the official Hellasaurus Rex badges made for those that want them. When I last spoke to MSM they were working on getting it more three dimensional. Meanwhile, a friend of mine asked to tinker around with the file with his CNC machines that he has at his house. Here’s what he’s come up with so far and I think that it looks pretty darn good! Maybe I’m just excited and ready for anything but that’s what it spit out. He’s going to keep playing but I’m curious to see it with a good polish and red paint.

Either his plasma CNC is a lot better than any i've used or he did a TON of filing....Looks great, but maybe a bit cost prohibitive to make that way ;)

Looks good. Judging by the dross along the edges it doesn't look as though he has done much if any cleanup to that but rather is straight off the table. I cut multiple of them the other day on my plasma table and they all turned out very similar. I was mainly cutting larger ones for the wall so I have a few in the 12"-18" range, but then cut multiple in the 2-4" range just to test sizing on the door of my truck.

Wow that's awesome, guess plasma cutters have come a long way since i last used one in metal shop in high school

They definitely have some amazing HD Plasma's now, get extremely close to laser in both Kerf and wedge angle at a fraction of the cost for comparable material thickness capability. Still way beyond what I can justify for my "hobby" machines, which I originally purchased to build custom suspensions and offroad buggy parts for my own and a few buddies toys.

I like that a lot but I am not fond of the broken tooth in the front (I know it's not a broken tooth but just looks like it)

I met with David yesterday and he showed me these. He's thinking a "set" should be two of the 4" emblems, both facing forward, and one of the 5" emblems for the tailgate. In this photo, the 4" is the polished aluminum and the 5" is the red. I think I'm going with the red as accents on the black truck.

Looks good! The red really stands out, Like the idea of 1” bigger diameter for the tailgate 👍👍

I agree a set should be 3 total 1 for each door facing forward and one for the tailgate facing right and I call dibs on the first set that goes for sale;)

Hey Brad,

He was really wanting to see a truck to know about pre-bending before the powder coat but to me the solution looks pretty clear. The upper posterior quarter panel location is too much of a fender flair to consider as a location so I'd advise placing on the lower front area of both front doors and a bottom corner of the tailgate. Both locations are almost flat and I don't think will require a pre-bend. He recommends two 4" emblems, both facing forward, and one 5" for the tailgate. He had a lot of questions for me regarding which Mopar red paint to powder coat but since I'm just using the red as an accent on the black, it doesn't matter so much to me. I'm sure he will happily remove the "broken tooth" some of you see.

His name is David Jackson and his phone number is 214-934-7161 and he can do any size or finish you want. I'll let you guys work out the details as I'm swamped right now and just don't have any time to help out.

You musta drank to much in Memphis this weekend and forgot all about telling me you would only use it for your personal badge and wouldn't provide these to anyone else on the forums if I sent you the source file early ?!? 🤥 😜

I do agree with the broken tooth comments though. Its much more pronounced when cutting them from metal than it is in my initial images or when I cut it from vinyl.

Speaking of which, how was the tequila? Good stuff?
