lol ya….shit show. I enter Into the service dept and tell them I was here for the oil change and to have suspension recalibrated. I explained the PCM was going to throw codes cuz it’s tuned but there is a service bulletin for the truck for the dash warnings. I show her the TSB, explain how to recalibrate the suspension, even offer to talk to tech. 2 hours go by and the tech pulls the truck out front. I approach him and ask if it’s all set, he tells me that he doesn’t understand what’s going on with the truck, it has a ton of codes (duh, it’s tuned), he tried to recal the suspension but It didn’t work. I asked him if he lifted truck for recal and he says “of course, I lifted it for the oil change”. I go inside and tell the original woman that the tech didn’t do the recal correctly. She challenges me and I ask if she will print the TSB and directions that I had from forum and FB on how to recal suspension. She prints them and I request service manager looks at them. They pull my TRX back into the bay and legit less then 15 mins later pull it back out and tell me it’s all set and fixed. On to the good part…..they tried to charge me for 2.5 hours of labor. I explained that if they listened to me in the first place it would have taken 15 minutes…..as was demonstrated when they finally looked at my instructions. Secondly, I explained that wether the the truck was tuned or not there was still a TSB explaining that if the truck loses power then the suspension has to be recalibrated, THIS should be covered under warranty. She disagreed and went into the back to talk to manager. She came back a short time later and told me if I wrote a 5 star review of the dealer then I wouldn’t be charged any labor for it, I obviously agreed to that. Trucks been perfect, no more dash warnings or anything.
