AFE has a transmission pan for pre-order.
Only problem is that in the description, it says for the 850RE and 8HP70 transmissions. But at the top it says for 21- 24 TRX 8HP90/95 transmissions. It does look to be the same shape and bolt pattern as the TRX

Looks like they fixed it already.View attachment 154608
I’m definitely in for this. Probably not going to pre-order unless they can give me some sort of estimate when it’ll ship. But I’ve been waiting years for someone to make one.
So it seems they did. Still going to verify and try to get an eta on them.
Me too. AFE is usually one of the first to make the oil pans and diff covers, surprised it took this long for the transmission pan

Should work with OEM trans filter/gasket/etc right?
I did not remove my skid plates/catalytic converter cover to check, but it looks to be the same shape and bolt pattern from what I seen from under the truck. The AFE pan just looks deeper as it says it holds 2 quarts more of fluid, so I think the same filter would also be used. But I will get some answers once they are open and post them here

I wonder how much closer to the OEM skidplate the pan sits since its deeper. The tranny skid isnt the strongest one down there by any stretch so im a little wary for rock bouncing purposes

I sent an email and asked about the depth of the pan for that reason. I know the stock pan is already pretty close

The thread about changing the transmission fluid had me interested, so I’ll just add this to the task if it’s available soon. Thanks for posting!

thanks for posting this, Im definitely interested in it and would probably get one for my next transmission oil change.

I just requested the SKU to be available in the dealer portal, trying to see our cost and see if we can help!

Nick
Thanks.
I'm still waiting on a response back about the questions I sent them on Friday. I know they are only open mon-fri, so hopefully the get back to me tomorrow with answers

Here is the response back from AFE

Thank you for reaching out with your questions regarding the aFe transmission pan (Part #46-71310B) for your 2021 Ram TRX with the 6.2L engine. Here’s the information you requested:

Fitment Confirmation:

This pan is confirmed to fit the TRX equipped with the ZF 8HP95 transmission. The earlier description mentioning 850RE and 8HP70 was updated to reflect compatibility with 8HP90/95 applications.

Filter Compatibility:

The pan works with the stock transmission filter - no additional or special filter is required.

Capacity and Dimensions:

The pan adds approximately 2 quarts over stock capacity. The depth increase is about 1.25 inches deeper than the factory pan, and the height from the bottom of the pan to the top gasket surface is approximately 4.75 inches.

ETA for Availability:

Current estimate for these pans to go on sale is early Q1 2026. We’ll update our website as soon as inventory is ready.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or need assistance with your TRX build.

that all sounds good. Just gotta verify we have at least 1.25" to spare between skid. If i remember correctly, the tranny skid is aluminum so I def wouldn't want the pan to be too close to that (at least for our purposes)

I know there's room for it to fit, but not sure how much extra room there would be for skid plate flex
