Does the AFE make the supercharger whine noticeably louder?

I would say yes. But before I installed it, I had the big plastic cover installed and I think that dampens the sound quite a bit. Since I installed the AFE tube and filters, I have left off the plastic cover. I can hear that supercharger whine unless I have the music turned up loud.

uuggghhh killing me! I want to try and enjoy stock power as long as possible before getting the modbug because I went off with my corvette.. also dont wanna bite my warranty in the ass just from horror stories ive seen but i also know thats just people mistreating their trx's

View attachment 31531Out of nowhere I received a shipping notification, but didn’t really think anything of it as I saw aFe post they won’t be shipping til late Jan early February. Well today, it showed up. TRX isn’t even here yet but I’m pumped to have one ready to go when it gets here. Sorry I can’t post a video until the truck arrives.View attachment 31532View attachment 31533
Did you take a picture of both next to each other?

Got it installed, honestly was super easy. I’m pretty handy and have done a a fair share of tuning, restoring etc but with the amount that needs to be removed I was a tad taken back. Once I got rockin it was so damn easy and aFe has great instructions, rare these days. Loving the noise it makes, certainly much louder but not overly loud.

For installing this (or any other bolt-on induction), is it recommended to get a tune?

Is there any info out there on performance gains of a throttle body spacer, or entirely new throttle body, for a TRX? I'm certainly not an expert here, but wondering what kind if benefit you would get out if this without other mods.

Thinking about this again. Anyone have data on whether or not there is a benefit/power improvement from adding a throttle body spacer to the TRX?
