Same in construction. My guys live for overtime. 60+ hours a week or they’re pissed. When I was working manufacturing my team loved working nonstop Sat-Sun and as much OT as we would give them. Many based there living styles on this OT. They only times they tried to do shady work was when I cut OT… production should be jumping soon!
Is there anyone left who wants to work? I thought that was a thing of the past.Anyone bitching about this schedule has obviously never worked a turnaround... Don't get me wrong, I don't miss them, but in the conditions these people work, and the lack of difficulty to the job.... if they even hinted at complaining about it I'd show them the door and bring in someone that wants to work.
But honestly here's hoping they're looking forward to it and enjoy it and the cash it brings in for them!
I know people that work in different areas of the company that lets me in on info.Do you work there or know someone that you have this info?
They won't. The point is they keep having a lot of people not showing up for work and this is how they get them all to show up. If they are out of parts, just like a couple days ago, they'll just get sent home early. And are they even going to have the parts to sustain that level of progress.
