Pretty much the same for me. My dealer gave me a deal to make a sold order because they did not have an allocation. I initially placed the order mid December and now have a D status truck with a VIN. Basically FCA picked up the sold order before some of the allocated dealer stock orders. I see the logic on the sold orders but have also seen FCA fill dealer stock orders not marked sold so much of this does not make sense. To answer that question... Chances are a lot of those dealer orders are not allocation(meaning their ram rep is actually giving them one yet). Dealers are just placing orders for them and hoping they get built. I placed an allocated order for one less than a month ago... And it hit E(framing) status today. That is my guess. Saw that a lot when the hellcats came out.
That is the exact reason that those of us that have had sold orders since Aug are so infuriated with Ram/FCA. Congrats on your order though. To answer that question... So you order one a month ago and its already being built but lots of us, myself included, ordered almost 6 months ago and stuck in D status and don't even know for sure will ever get built before they run out of parts.. VERY FRUSTRATING.To answer that question... Chances are a lot of those dealer orders are not allocation(meaning their ram rep is actually giving them one yet). That is so baffling. How are some people that have been waiting for 6+ months being passed over for people just now ordering. Congrats to you and it is not your fault but that is utter crap. FCA needs to get that shit figured out.To answer that question... Chances are a lot of those dealer orders are not allocation(meaning their ram rep is actually giving them one yet). But its FCA that is building new orders before the old ones. That definitely should NOT be happening.I don't think it is FCA. I think it is dealers just throwing it up against the wall and hope FCA takes them.
That is unfortunately not true....I have seen orders for new builds processed and built before the original Aug orders... And that is total Bullshit....They are building allocated orders first. Not the dealerships just submitting orders that don't have any allocation.
But they're not building allocated orders first that were allocated first. And that, my friend, is some bullshit. They are building allocated orders first. Not the dealerships just submitting orders that don't have any allocation.
No kidding, I would be upset too if I had ordered months ago. Especially if I paid ADM thinking that would make it ship faster or get bumped to the front of the line. I have no place to complain. I did a lot of research and called a lot of dealers before I decided to commit so I came in really late to this order process. I just don’t understand how they decide to build units. Maybe they have a dartboard and every morning they just start slinging darts to pick which truck goes down the line. But they're not building allocated orders first that were allocated first. And that, my friend, is some bullshit.
I know mine and many others were allocated and showed as sold orders. I have had a vin in D status for 5 monthsThat is a problem if it is an actual allocated order. I don't know of a way to actually fact check a dealership to see if it is or isn't allocated... So how do we know the dealership isn't just saying it is allocated... And it really isn't.
So you really are not understanding what we all are saying. Dealer A got 5 original allocations in Aug 2020.. all 5 are sold customer orders..... Same dealer A enters a 6th order in Oct 2020 and that Oct order gets built and delivered before the original 5 Aug orders...That has actually happened... riddle me that Batman???Sold orders and allocation are two different things. I can place 20 trx sold orders today to FCA. That does not mean they are allocated. Allocation is passed down through the reps and the dealerships are told that they are getting 1,2,3,etc in this order cycle.
The good part is if you have a vin... Not a von... That means it is going to be built. Von is assigned to every vehicle ordered. Even the cars ordered for dealer inventory.

NO SHIT...... We have had a VIN for over 5 months!!!!! There would NOT be a VIN without an allocation!!!Sold orders and allocation are two different things.
