Its going to be pretty difficult for RAM to make that promised delivery by April that they emailed me if they don't get it out of D status pretty darn soon .

Something ironic about my truck being built during a power outage. I work for Caterpillar and we have Affiliate Program benefits, in part, because FCA/Stellantis buys industrial power generation units from us. We can run power for cities ... but apparently did not get the order for the Sterling Heights plant.

Some extra numbers for the day, in case anyone is interested.

I currently have 621 forum members that have provided VIN's 433 of those have been built already, with 388 having been shipped so 62% complete already. Of the 45 left at the factory today, only 7 are past the current 8 day average so thankfully it looks like all the long "forgotten" forum members have been released from the plant at this point.

I am currently tracking 13000+ VINS in total as of this morning, which are just large groups around the VINs supplied by members here. So there could be a possibility of some random trucks with VINs way outside of any forum member range that just get through without being detected as it is unrealistic for me to check all 1 million possible 2021 TRX sequence numbers multiple times a day.

621 Forum members that provided VINs and build dates.... 10% (62 of us) ordered in August and still without build dates. Definitely happy for the 62% that are complete... but still a bit surprised so many without a truck after 190 days of anxiously waiting It is great to read from others that the wait is worth it. Keep the reviews and pictures coming!

That is alot, it will be interesting if they can build them all this year or if they wrap a lot of orders into 2022 because of supply issues

Let me clarify a little. The problem is we have no way of knowing how many actual VINs have been issued by FCA, so I am casting large nets around the groups of VINs we have here. Those 13000 is just an educated guess at what will show results, but could include thousands of VINS that will never actually be issued/built and could also miss many VINS that do get issued. That in no way means I expect them to make 13000 trucks.
So for example, we know the VINS started at 900001 with the highest forum member recorded at 905981 so I scan the first 6000 VINs, then we started seeing 68XXXX VINS with the lowest being 684689 and the highest being 685973 so I scan from 684000 to 686000, likewise from 702000 to 706000. At this point it would be MUCH quicker to just focus on the forum members since they are only 5% of the VINs I check but the numbers as a whole are interesting so I keep scanning and inevitably a couple times a week someone will chime in on the daily updates saying their VIN is in the list and they just hadn't posted their details up to that point so it is still useful for the group I guess.
