Hey y'all,
Haven't posted anything in a while been super busy with work it's been exhausting but I picked up my 2023 Ram TRX Havoc Edition from Napelton Clermont about 2 months ago now. I'll attach some pictures below It's been an amazing truck and managed to rack up 2,000 miles on it so far. I've even did some towing with it for my company. Last weekend on Sunday (5/21) I took the TRX to cars and coffee, wanted to take something different. I believe while at the show someone attached a tracker to the truck. The night after, (Monday 5/22) or technically Tuesday morning around 2 AM I was doing some paperwork and boring shit when my girlfriend who was watching a movie asked why there was a black ford backing down the driveway with a trailer. I'll paint a picture of the property otherwise this won't make sense. My house isn't in a neighborhood, and it sits on 2.3 acres. The driveway is pretty long and there are trees on either side. It's not the easiest driveway to back a trailer down of but it's not impossible. If I could do it, I know most people can, but the driver had a really tough time trying to backing up in the dark. I own 13 guns I grabbed one of my bigger ones and started turning on all the lights possible Infront of the house to try and scare them away. I'm a hunter but I've never shot a person. Luckily it didn't get to that point as soon as the front porch light came on, they drove away quickly. They were smart enough to take the plates off the trailer, couldn't see if the truck had plates or not. I know it was a new generation F150 (2021 or newer) black looks like a XLT or Lariat hooked to an open one car trailer. My property has a cheap wood fence around it, but the driveway is open, there's no gate. Scared they may come back I took one of the Peterbuilt's from the backyard and blocked the driveway entrance. I also moved my Trans Am to the backyard under a trailer shed and put the TRX in the garage. Tuesday afternoon I took it to get inspected for any trackers. You wouldn't see my driveway from the road, so I know they either saw me when I was entering or leaving my house or attached a tracker to it. They found 2 trackers. One under the rear bumper and one under the passenger sidestep. I've called and agreed for a company to come and build a metal gate around my house they said the process would take around 2 weeks. I've left the Trans Am in the backyard and been parking the TRX in the garage for now. I only have a 3-car garage. I don't know what the next step is. I don't feel comfortable knowing these dickheads know where I live. I stopped by the police department, and they basically told me they couldn't do anything which I figured they couldn't, hence why I didn't bother calling them. I leave all the lights on in front of the house now, but I can't always keep the driveway blocked. I bought the tazer just for the Amber DRLs didn't bother setting up the pin since I thought I lived in a safe enough area. I obviously set up the pin since then.
