2021 TRX Hydro Blue Arrives (XX1009) on the Central Coast

Just got the news, and a couple Pics from the dealer confirming arrival! Will take delivery tomorrow.

Ordered 8/26 From Mullahey Dodge in Paso Robles, CA. The owner Mike Mullahey made it happen. His Internet Sales Manager, Carson Landreth handled the transaction. They have made it easy from day one.

Currently is going through PDI and they are aware of the issues other new owners are having upon or after delivery. They assured me they will look at all the areas of previous issues and will spend time with it. Partly why I am waiting until tomorrow for delivery, so they can take their time.

Below are the pictures they sent me this morning. I will add feedback to this thread as I experience it. Hopefully it was put together tightly, but I don’t think I’ll take the trip to WY until I’ve put 1000 miles behind me,... all close to home and the dealership.

I’ve shared I owned a 2014 Raptor, which was an outstanding vehicle. 4 years and 50k miles, no issues. Bought that from Mullahey as well. Hopefully this can be as reliable. The Current F150 5.0L 2018 Platinum is not my favorite the tranny and engine suck. The rest of the truck is excellent. So I came to the TRX and Ram from reading JD Powers and Consumer reports for the first time in my life. Ram scored very high and hopefully this TRX will carry on that reputation (not withstanding the issues some new owners are having)

So here we go! The future is looking bright! Bright Blue!

Loving it man, especially with the weather we have been getting in Ohio lately.
Just dropped another video on it where my buddy drove it and compared our 5.7 liter ram 1500 to the TRX, funny because he's not really a car or truck guy. I'll post it here in a second.

Carson Landreth, Finance Manager, was my salesman. He took great care of me start to finish. Professional all the way. I remember him as a young squirt playing Babe Ruth and high school ball with my boy. All grown up. Nice young man. Gives me hope for the next generation!

I too tried Cole. Live at SLOCC. Cole did not have one available for me either back in August. At sticker. Mullahey has always treated me well.

After 130 miles no issues except a silly grin. After break-in the grin will grow.

I am very impressed with the little things they did so well. I own American, Japanese, Korean, and German vehicles, and for the money I am very impressed with the fit, finish and quality of materials. Also small things, like where you place your phone, it holds it securely, and charges it, and you can see it! Almost nobody does that. It drives me crazy in most others cars I need to buy a mount. The backs of the front seats have the strap mounts for accessories. Love it. Leather wrap on the grab handles. An abundance of charging plugs. Some charge while the truck is off. Lots of thought went into this truck. They definitely “get it” that many of these buyers come from the world of high end sports cars and luxury automobiles. The leather is very nice quality and the combination of colors and materials are well chosen.

There is a mountain of technology to learn. Although I think once your choices are sorted out, it won’t be that overwhelming. I think technology language from brand to brand is one of the more difficult learning curves for me, but not insurmountable or frustrating.

I can’t see new owners being disappointed, unless reliability becomes an issue. And of course every new buyer who has had an immediate mechanical failure is going to be pissed. I don’t think you’ll have an issue selling yours if you don’t like it.

The only two negatives I can mention, and these are not complaints, are the same two I had with the 2014 Raptor: it uses a lot of fuel (I got 14.1 in cruise at 65 over 33 miles driving home, in mixed driving 10.9) and it’s big. Everything else is a positive. I’m truly happier with this purchase than anything I have bought in a long time. Only my GT3 is equally satisfying. This is rare air. Breathe it in!

I spoke to her earlier this week...she’s great. The current window for delivery seems unclear if I order bud something of 3-6 months as I understood. I’m impatient so I’ve been reaching out to dealers to see if I can get an in stock model. I thought I had an LE locked down for a second but it was a actually a sold order that my newish salesperson did not know the status of until our third phone call. Oh well, the hunt continues.
