Hey guys right now I have a 3.1 pulley and tune and thinking about going to 2.8 pulley and injectors. For those of you running a 2.8 on 93 pump how’s daily drive ability and differnt? Also I should notice a big difference going from 3.1 to a 2.8 pulley I’d imagine?

I wouldn’t say big difference on pump gas. Big difference on e85 though. No changes in driveability as long as you have a good tuner.

Is it mandatory to have a tune with 3.1 pulley? I've read other places it's not necessary.

I think some people run a 3.17 with a tune but I did the tune just to be safe with the 3.1, plus the tuning makes it feel completely different!

I have the Dusterhoff DT 877 package, 2.82, injectors, tune, T-stat, S&B, tuned for 93. Prior to that I ran a Incognito and the S&B. The two don’t even compare, the truck drives like stock when I’m putting around town and is a monster when you get on it. Only thing I notice more now is the fan kicking on more often due to the T stat.

That’s awesome, pretty much everything I’ll get in my package as well! I have the 180 t stat on it already. What was your whp?

I agree once you tune there is a decent difference. Not like having a 3000 lb car with that kind of difference but it’s there. The OP however already has a tune. Going from 3.17 to 2.85 is roughly 1.5-2.0 PSI jump or 30-45 whp. I highly doubt that’s going to have that same “monster” differential that you felt.

Unsure, it was remote tuned due to my shop not having a AWD Dyno. My Hellcat challenger with almost identical mods + catless mids made 771WHP.

Agreed, just posting my experience going from the roughly 12-13lbs with the incognito to 17lbs with the 2.82.

I was thinking about doing a upper pulley to add a bit but I didn't want to get into a tune injectors, T-stat and all that jazz as of yet until my warranty is up. I've read that guys are running the 3.1 upper without a tune.
