Mythical wheels falling off…
Mythical wheels falling off…
lol That is absolutely a fear. although the truck got out alive.
I literally just called Bora today to talk about adapters for some rims. Bora is very confident in their product if installed properly. This is their number. 775-351-1000Any thoughts on adding 2” bora spacers for a wider stance on stock wheels and tires ?
That is great information. Thank you.1.5” is the minimum without trimming studs. Studs are flush with top of spacer at 1.5”.
Ive got a set of 1.5s on the way so glad this confirms fitment without trimming. That is great information. Thank you.
I ended up taking mine off, because I couldn’t bring myself to cut my fender wells.Ive got a set of 1.5s on the way so glad this confirms fitment without trimming.
I’ll be putting them through hell and back so will report any issues i run into. Not anticipating any esp. with only 1.5s. Might be concerned with 2.5+ but ive run Boras on 3 other offroad rigs without issue. Really gives it the perfect stance and allows u some room for error (buffer before u hit ur body) when ur offroading on tight trails. Ill bounce off my aired down 37” all day lol
Were you running 37s?I ended up taking mine off, because I couldn’t bring myself to cut my fender wells.
Do you have a lift? If so, which one?. I've had to cut mine in the past and it's not a huge deal so I'd be wiling to do that if necessaryI ended up taking mine off, because I couldn’t bring myself to cut my fender wells.
Yeah… lift doesn’t change much, it’s the inside rear corner of the front wells that need to be cut when you are running a -18 offset.Do you have a lift? If so, which one?. I've had to cut mine in the past and it's not a huge deal so I'd be wiling to do that if necessary
Ok gotcha. Just plastic or is there metal behind in that area that will likely need some trimmy trim?Yeah… lift doesn’t change much, it’s the inside rear corner of the front wells that need to be cut when you are running a -18 offset.

Still waiting on em to ship. They usually take several weeks@blaster9 did you get them put on yet?
Don’t bother with them bro… you spend too much time in the mud… lots of gunk got stuck in mine. (The other reason I took them off)Still waiting on em to ship. They usually take several weeks
Where did it get stuck? In the lug nut recesses?Don’t bother with them bro… you spend too much time in the mud… lots of gunk got stuck in mine. (The other reason I took them off)
Yep and the center hole. It’s amazing where mud and sand and gravel find to call home…Where did it get stuck? In the lug nut recesses?
Yea i'm okay with that - par for the course. I go under my truck every time and spray everything down with simple green. I still have a layer of old hardened mud on top of most skids/etc that's basically molded into the unit lol. I'll try & keep my holes clean but we all know it gets tough sometimesYep and the center hole. It’s amazing where mud and sand and gravel find to call home…
I never thought to take my wheels off as part of the after ride clean up…
lol, it actually bonds them to the hubYea i'm okay with that - par for the course. I go under my truck every time and spray everything down with simple green. Haha so there ya go! Now i dont have to worry about checking the spacer lugs every tire rotation hahalol, it actually bonds them to the hubI had to use a small sledge to get them off… was like concrete holding them on.

1.5” spacers installed. Some trimming required with 37s.@blaster9 did you get them put on yet?
