Yes I added one at 1500 miles. I would not worry about a little oil loss. As long as it is not quarts between oil changes it should be fine.

Zero oil consumption at 3000 miles, did first change at 400 miles. Modern engines should not use any oil. The old days of seating the rings is long gone. I have only had one modern engine that used oil between changes and it had one cyl. that did not have the ring gaps staggered. 2011 5.3 chev.

My dealer ordered my new springs yesterday, #68442794ac for front and 68442783aa for rear. Both on back order plus 7 of the 10 pieces of hardware on back order. Truck is 1 inch low on LR.

What I heard from Redline oil years ago was 75/140 gear lube was for low speed diffs. doing heavy towing. I think the TRX would be considered a high speed application but either one will work.

If you have a chance would you look at your rear drive shaft and see if there is a hole drilled about half way down the length?

I just got my truck yesterday and I noticed the drive shaft has a 1/4 inch hole drilled in it at about the center. Has anyone else seen this? I have been wrenching on cars for 60 years and never seen this.

They carefully and gladly checked the whole list for me. The only thing he found was a few under torqued lug nuts. He kept the list for future reference. I would be very upset with your guy.

Great news! I just got home with mine, they checked every thing on that forum list and only found a few lugs that were under torqued. Body fits are all good and paint looks good. It is hunting season so it will be getting some alder tree pinstripe before long.

It got to the dealer late afternoon so I am going in this morning to do the PDI with them and do the test drive.
