Once you see someone crash or die from driving super fast, you realize what a stupid ego drivin premise it is, especially on the street. Don't get me wrong, I hit that same bridge with about 10 crotch rocket super bikes, back in the day with my stoker 540 supercharged Viper GTS. I expected them to zoom by me so I just nailed it, when I didn't see any of them roaring by I was like WTF, looked down and speedo was tick over 200MPH, about 204. Had no idea how fast I was going, caught up in moment. Let off throttle and braked controlling manor. Even the slightest turn of steering wheel or un-weighting the car will send it out of control.
The difference between me and my friend that died was, I had a GTS with all the latest aero, carnards, GT2 wing and front splitter, he had an RT/10 convertable, no hardtop and no aero. It ended up really bad.
I just think its something people don't factor in. Plus I am amazed at how smooth the TRX is. AT 115MPH its smooth as silk. But you don't get the early warning driver feedback until it may be too late. I guess what I am saying is why risk it.
Just unlock PCM and remove speed governor, if you want.
A think the key to remember is even though it has a hellcat in it, its made for off road and high speed 90MPH baja runs. I don't think anyone builds a vehicle as big, tall, heavy and no aerodynamic, expecting it to 150MPH or more.
What I would do is find a nice 2 mile long run area and test drive the lanes and find flattest, smoothest surface as possible to minimize any possible problems, when you do it.
